Review: Tasmanian Tiger  – TT Mesh Bag VL M

Introduction

In this article I want to take a quick look at the Tasmanian Tiger TT Mesh Bag VL M – a backpack accessory that is available since 2022. Often enough, these neat little helpers are overlooked and I thought it would be a good ide to give a small overview of this mesh bag.

The Tasmanian Tiger TT Mesh Bag VL M

The Tasmanian Tiger TT Mesh Bag VL M is a no-nonsense mesh bag measured 45 x 26 cm that can be closed via shock cord and a cord lock. It features two large velcro areas on the backside, in order to be able to mount it on the inside of backpacks and bags that feature velcro lining. These velcro areas are also equipped with their counterparts, in case you do not want to use the velcro.

A carrying handle, made of light webbing, provides the user not only with the option to carry it around by hand, but also to hang it into a backpack, provided that a buckle or loop is available (usually the kind of loops to mount hydration bladders).

The materials used provide a good look into the bag as well as the needed sturdiness. To the front transparent mesh is used, which most of you will know from the pockets in packs.

Airflow is a given with these kinds of pouches and the heavy mesh works perfectly in that sense.

So far I have used the TT Mesh Bag for the transportation of towels and other clothes inside my pack. Especially if you have a pack with a large main compartment, keeping your clothes in smaller bags is always useful, especially if you want to get to them quickly. Additionally I also used the TT Mesh bag completely out of its intended use – for collecting mushrooms. The lightweight construction and the carrying handle made it very practical and easy to use in that sense.

Quality of manufacture is flawless, as one is used from Tasmanian Tiger, so I will leave it at that and not dedicate an entire chapter to the topic.

Conclusion

Having an accessory like the TT Mesh Bag VL at hand proves to be handy anytime. Organizing clothes in your bag, collecting wet shirts and such or simply by using it as a dump pouch –  the TT Mesh Bag VL is a practical item to have.

Personally I found the carrying handle to make a big change in its versatility, especially if you want to quickly improvise and use it in a different way like I did by collecting mushrooms.
