Review: Tasmanian Tiger – TT Modular Medic Pack 38
Introduction
Earlier this year Tasmanian Tiger was kind enough to sponsor some medical equipment like this TT Modular Medic Pack 38 for an NGO I am in contact with. Acting as an in-between, these landed on my door step and I made use of the opportunity to take plenty of pics.
So this is not a review in the traditional sense, as I did not use these items and am far from being the professional medic to make a decent assessment. IF and WHEN I get some feedback, I will relay it to you guys and update this review. Until then a basic overview and the description of features must suffice.
Overview
The TT Modular Medic Pack 38 is a purpose-built first aid backpack designed with professional medics in mind. Its layout emphasizes modularity, accessibility, and durability – all key aspects for medical equipment deployment under stress. With a fully opening main compartment, multiple detachable clear pouches, and several quick-access points, the pack allows the user to organize medical gear according to their specific needs. Two large front compartments, a wide lid pocket, and a glove dispenser slot on the front further support fast access to essential equipment. In addition, the backpack can be configured for different carry options, including direct mounting to protective vests using the supplied adapter straps.

Materials and Design
The TT Modular Medic Pack 38 makes use of robust materials and a construction standard that is typical for the brand’s professional line. It is constructed from CORDURA® 700 den. and measures 61 x 28 x 20 cm, offers a total volume of 38 liters, and weighs 3.4 kg. The backpack features a padded back system, padded shoulder straps, a detachable 38 mm webbing hip belt, and a reinforced grab handle.
The exterior features a laser-cut MOLLE system on both the front and sides, allowing further customization with pouches or accessories. Generously sized hook-and-loop panels provide space for identification patches and internal organization. Padded shoulder straps, a detachable 38mm webbing hip belt, and a reinforced grab handle ensure reliable carrying comfort, even when the pack is heavily loaded.
The pack includes different colored hook-and-loop webbing as well as paracord pulls to mark the clear pouches. This setup allows users to apply medical color codes, making it easier to identify and access specific equipment under pressure.

Features of the TT Modular Medic Pack 38
The pack’s features are clearly aimed at professional medical personnel who need efficient organization and immediate access. The main compartment can be opened fully, offering six removable clear pouches that can be positioned according to the user’s preference. Additional fixation points allow for securing specialized medical equipment or bulkier items such as blankets.
Both front compartments are wide-opening, with integrated organizers for smaller tools and supplies. A top lid pocket offers further space, while the glove dispenser on the front ensures quick access to disposable gloves without needing to open the pack. Inside the lid, hook-and-loop areas and a daisy-chain system provide even more flexibility for attaching gear.
Externally, the laser-cut MOLLE system extends across the front and sides, with a layout designed for practical pouch attachment. The included adapter straps make it possible to remove the padded shoulder harness and attach the pack directly to protective vests – a feature that makes it especially relevant in tactical and rescue operations.

Conclusion
Going through all the features and seeing the accessories that come with the pack, made me understand the price point of the TT Modular Medic Pack 38. Not only did the think of a wide range of design features, giving users a lot of options to organize their medical items, they also added paracord and hook and loop webbing to color code everything.
I am curious to hear about impressions from the field, just as you might be. So far I only heard good things and people being impressed. We will see if that good impression will endure some of the harsh realities those guys have to deal with.
In this sense… (hopefully) to be continued!
